The initiative group
which included teachers and students of the Dnipropetrovsk College of
Culture was created in 1998. All activities were aimed at preserving the
national cultural heritage, supporting modern Ukrainian culture,
cooperating with regional cultural centers of national minorities,
charity, finding and supporting talented children and youth.
The following events were held from 1998 to 2002:
- International Folk Dance Festival for Children and Youth "To Sunny Springs" (1999),
with support of International Renaissance Foundation, which was
attended by dance groups of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and
Moldova.
- Three regional festivals of modern Ukrainian music "Autumn Starfall",
which were attended by children and young people from cities and
villages of Dnipropetrovsk region mainly from low-income families and
unprotected categories (2000-2002). The Organization received a grant
from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine for holding the second festival.
- Regional
Charity Creativity Festival of and publication of collection of poems
by children with health problems "Believe in Yourself" (2001).

Many different charity cultural events were held in cooperation with
cultural centers of national minorities, local commercial structures,
and government authorities.
Teachers
and students of the Dnipropetrovsk College of Culture participated in
all the events on a voluntary basis, students received practical
experience necessary for working in modern cultural institutions.
Non-Governmental
Organization "Center for Civic and Cultural Initiatives Support" was
registered in 2001. It was re-registered as Non-Governmental
Organization "Center for Civic and Cultural Initiatives Support
"Tamarisk" in 2007.
The
Organization implemented more than 50 projects aimed at developing civil
society and involved 44 grants from international donor organizations.

2019 - 2020 “Strengthening the Capabilities of Civil Society Organizations in Central and Eastern Ukraine” with support of the National Endowment for Democracy.
The purpose of the project: to increase information and communication capabilities of at least 20 CSOs of Eastern and Central Ukraine via training professional communicators and creating partnership between organizations, that will facilitate raising awareness of the citizens about essence of reforms, improvement communication between CSOs and local self-government authorities, increase of CSO information impact and involving citizens in decision-making process at the local level...

Мета
проєкту: підвищити спроможність не менш 20 ОГС Дніпропетровської
області передбачувати ризики, які пов’язані з правозахисною діяльністю,
та знаходити правильні рішення і дії виходу з кризових ситуацій шляхом
навчання їх представників у «Школі безпеки громадського активіста».

2020
р. - Спільний проект з партнерами Громадської Спілки «Мережа хабів
громадянського суспільства України» в рамках проекту ПРООН «Громадянське
суспільство для розвитку демократії і прав людини в Україні» за
фінансової підтримки Міністерства закордонних справ Данії.
В
рамках спільного проєкту експерти Центру «Тамариск» проводили в трьох
об’єднаних територіальних громадах Дніпропетровщини: Васильківській,
Царичанській, Покровській дослідження рівня впровадження інструментів

2019 - 2020 - "Implementation of Regranting Program in Mariupol and Nikopol" in cooperation with European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) with financial support of the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The purpose of the competition is to support in the cities of Mariupol and Nikopol the projects aimed at monitoring the activities of local self-government, implementation of the principles of transparency and accountability in local self-government sector, involvement of young people in finding innovative methods of fighting and preventing corruption. 2018 - 2019 - "Creation and Institutional Development of the Hub Network of Ukraine” with support of UNDP.
Representatives of the Center "Tamarisk" took an active part in all activities of the joint project with partners on institutional development of the Hub Network of Civil Society of Ukraine. 2016 - 2018 - Participation in the Coalition of CSOs from seven regions of Ukraine, created due to the initiative of civil society holding "Group of Influence" to protect the political rights of internally displaced persons within the project of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) "Increasing the Level of Election Preparation and Political Participation in Ukraine" with support of the British Embassy in Ukraine.
A press conference "Dnipro City has Joined the Coalition for Protection of Voting Rights of Internally Displaced Persons" was held. The Director of the Center "Tamarisk" participated in two live broadcasts "Living in a State of War. 2017 - Mobile exhibition "Everyone Has the Right to Know Their Rights" in cooperation with NGO "MART" and Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union.

2016 – 2017 - "Support for Civic Initiatives in Central and Eastern Ukraine" with support of the Democracy Fondation of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

project was aimed at supporting civic initiatives of newly established
CSOs working with IDPs to ensure their active participation in
democratic changes in Ukraine.
