The project was implemented in cooperation with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute for Public Administration, National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and Local Activity Center (Centrum Aktywności Lokalnej, CAL), Warsaw.
The goal of the project was to bring to the local self-government authorities of the districts the specific experience of the Mayor’s Office of Polish city of Belchatow, recognized as the best one in Poland, and to encourage them to adopt Ethics Codes and introduce ethical standards into activities of officials.
A sample of Ethics Code for local self-government employees was developed. We achieved some positive results, namely we adopted the Ethics Codes in two local self-government authorities, paid great attention to this topic in training programs for students of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute for Public Administration, National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, and we published a collection of articles on this topic.
