As a part of the project the Center “Tamarisk” received institutional support from UNDP. The team systematically worked on the following potentials: democratic, accountable and transparent internal leadership, membership base, management, administering small grants, financial control and financial sustainability, advocacy. Management manual which included internal policies and procedures was developed and adopted. Fundraising and communication strategies were developed. In 2016 the organization was evaluated by UNDP on these potentials and received positive evaluations and specific recommendations to implement. The Center “Tamarisk” was promoted as a regional leader. The Organization functions as a regional hub.
The Organization responded to the challenges which arose from the current situation in the country by holding its own events and participating in partner events.

The majority of the activities in the project program were conducted according to the needs of CSOs, initiative groups, activists and volunteers: 6 training events “Fundamentals of Civil Society Expertise”, 2 trainings “Effective Social Project”, training event “Logical and Structural Approach to Project Development”, training “Evolution of Values: How to Involve People in the Development of Local Communities”, meetings of the Positive Change Club “The Third Sector of Dnipropetrovsk Region: Realities and Prospects”, “Exchange of Experience of Civil Society Activity with Initiative Youth” and others. A large number of events were held in the pilot community of Pidhorodne town.
