Three years of participation in educational programs of the Stefan Batory Foundation, internship and acquaintance with experience of Polish civil society sector, exchange of practices with successful Ukrainian and Belarussian organizations facilitated enhancing professional competence of the team and improving financial basis of the Center “Tamarisk”.
Within the project a series of trainings and consultations was held on development of social projects; information about ways to solve social problems was disseminated; models of cooperation between non-governmental organizations, government, business, and the media were discussed, and competition of social projects as one of the most effective mechanisms for activating citizens to solve social problems was used. Five environmental and social projects aimed at solving important local problems were supported. Each of the implemented projects has become an example of how to unite the efforts of caring people and to achieve good results, having a great desire and small funds.
Charity campaign “One UAH you donated will help to make kids’ marvelous dreams come true”. The campaign was of particular importance for the project. It was held in supermarkets and schools. Relationship was established with some commercial structures and the media.
