As part of a joint project, Tamarisk Center experts conducted a study of the level of implementation of local democracy instruments in three united territorial communities of Dnipropetrovsk region: Vasylkivska, Tsarychanska, Pokrovska: general meetings, public hearings, participation budget, local initiatives, petitions, etc.
Based on the results of the study, an analytical report was prepared and presented to the community leadership, and working groups were set up to work out changes and additions to the regulations. This was followed by advocacy for change.
The experts conducted a number of events from personal meetings and presentations to remote discussions in the format of video conferences “Improving the tools of local democracy during the period of restrictive measures” for representatives of each UTC. As a result of the project the following documents are accepted:
– In Tsarychanska UTC – the order of the village head “About the statement of working group on improvement of tools of local democracy and regulatory activity”
– In Vasylkivska UTC – a revised version of the rules of procedure of Vasylkivska village council, which includes norms that increase the efficiency of the instruments of local democracy.
– In Pokrovskaya UTC – the order of the Pokrovsky settlement chairman “About the statement of working group on improvement of tools of local democracy and regulatory activity”.
