Within the project, the experts from the Center “Tamarisk” monitored and evaluated functioning local democracy tools under lockdown conditions in three United Territorial Communities in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, such as Vasylkivska, Tsarychanska and Pokrovska communities.
The reports prepared based on the results of research were presented before United Territorial Communities (UTC). The created working groups developed amendments to the laws and regulations. Laws and regulations, which introduced local democracy tools (including local community regulations) are being improved. After that advocacy of the amendments began, a number of events were held, such as face-to-face meetings and presentations, and remote discussions in video conference format:
– On-line events of video conference format “Improvement of tools of local democracy during the period of restrictive measures” for representatives of Tsarychanska UTC, Vasylkivska UTC of Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
– The Order No. С263-р of Tsarychanka Village Mayor “On approval of working group for improvement of tools of local democracy and regulatory activity” dated December 10, 2020 was jointly developed and enacted.
