The project was aimed at supporting civic initiatives of newly established CSOs working with IDPs to ensure their active participation in democratic changes in Ukraine.
The Sixth School of Positive Changes which was attended by representatives of 24 organizations from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Kharkiv oblasts worked within the project.
In addition to 7 basic trainings on organizational development, 2 additional ones were conducted: “Evolution of Values: 7 Keys for Constructive Interaction with Different People” and “Activation of Local Communities through Interaction with Authorities in Solving Social Problems”.
More than 140 consultations on legal, financial, organizational and informational issues, 12 expert visits to civil society organizations, 6 meetings of the Positive Change Club on topical issues of CSO activities, a press conference on the progress and results of the project were held.
The highlight of the project was the Second Forum on Positive Change (60 participants). The Second Forum was attended mainly by graduates of the 4th, 5th and 6th Schools of Positive Changes, but there were also those who studied at the first School in 2010. The participants of the event worked in three sections on the following topics: “Development Tools”, “Interaction with Authorities”, “Community Activation”. Well-known experts, leaders of non-governmental organizations, and deputies held master classes. There were interesting discussions. In addition, activists played various games such as: role-playing game “New Way to Live”, team tabletop game “World of Communities”, European Quest. Apart from it barbecue competition and ethnic party were held.
In total, more than 600 people participated in the project.
