The purpose of the project: to increase the capabilities of at least 20 civil society organizations, mainly from small towns and rural regions of Eastern Ukraine, to influence the development of local communities, to represent target groups and to implement democratic changes at the local level.
It was planned to hold two trainings and competition of mini-grants for organizations participating in the project. As well communication activities, information exchange development between CSOs were planned. Activists from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Kharkiv oblasts participated in the project.


Two trainings “Effective Social Project: How to Organize the Team Project Development Process” and “Project Management”, and competition of mini-grants for the participants were held. 49 applications from 10 oblasts of Ukraine were submitted for mini-grants competition. 10 projects
were selected. The grantees were provided with ongoing expert support. All projects have been successfully implemented. The grantees exchanged experiences at the final seminar of the Organization. The projects were presented online; the variety of the projects and areas of their implementation were showed. The projects were the first step and the first grant successes for majority of the organizations.


As per CSO requests 2 additional trainings were held for civil society activists from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Luhansk, Poltava, Odessa and Kharkiv oblasts on the topics: “Development of Social Projects” and “Fundamentals of Organizational
Development of Non-Governmental and Charitable Organizations” (52 participants in total). 74 consultations, 8 expert visits to grantee organizations, 6 meetings of the Positive Change Club on
topical issues were held.
